How to get to Heaven
If you want to know the joy of forgiven sin and fill the void in your life:
1. Recognize your need
Admit you’re a sinner. The Bible says, “...There is none righteous, not even one.” Romans 3:10 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
2. Remember God’s love
“But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
3. Repent of your sins
You must be willing to turn away from those things that displease God. “Repent, therefore and return, that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19
4. Receive Jesus as Savior
“For whoever will call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 Friend you must call upon the Lord if you will be saved. Don’t try to “clean up your life” before you come to God. Instead, receive Him and allow Him to do the “cleansing”. Jesus said, “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me, I will by no means cast out.” John 6:37
5. Respond with eagerness
If you have received the Lord as your personal Savior, please contact the church office. We would love to give you a Bible and Bible study helps to encourage you in your new found faith and to plug you into the church so that you can enjoy the fellowship of God’s family. Also, keep coming out to church! His word tells us in Hebrews 10:25, “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another...”
“Behold, now is the acceptable time, behold, now is the day of salvation” 2 Corinthians 6:2b
